Discover the Magic of Allopathic Dewormer for Cattle

Allopathic Dewormer For Cattle

Worm infestations are a problem in both conventional and organic laying hen production. To treat worm infections, the only treatment now permitted is the allopathic drug flubendazole. However, due to changes, a minimum of 48 hours after treatment with flubendazole may be required as a time frame to sell these eggs as biological. Farmers' revenue will suffer as a result of this.

It is probable that medication is being administered too frequently at the moment, and the adoption of other products could already be reducing infection pressure. The goal of the FENOCTIN initiative is to give organic laying hen holders with guidance on how to use these alternatives optimally and effectively.

This blog will look into 1) how worm infestation occurs on organic laying hen farms and 2) the relationship between worm infestation, productivity level, and animal health. We attempt to determine the extent of worm infestation on a farm using three indications.

The number of eggs per gram (EPG) in dung, the immune cells present in laying hen blood, and the presence of worms at autopsy will be utilized as markers. In addition, the impact of a variety of alternative, natural worming products will be studied. The impact of using natural deworming solutions on the aforementioned variables, as well as productivity and animal health, will be studied.

Relevance/Valorization

An important goal of this study is to develop effective strategies for reducing parasitic worm infection pressure while maintaining animal production and health during the whole laying cycle. If positive results are obtained, 1) the use of chemically synthesized allopathic veterinary medicines, specifically flubendazole, will be reduced, 2) the financial losses caused by Europe's waiting times will be minimized, and 3) optimal health and well-being of the laying hens will be obtained.
